DESCRIPTION:The final Youth Leaders Training session for 2026 will focus on
	 Safeguarding and our shared responsibility to create safe and welcoming c
	ommunities for young people.\n\nYouth and young adult leaders will be equi
	pped to recognise risks\, respond appropriately and strengthen a culture o
	f safeguarding.  As leaders\, this is an essential part of our mission: to
	 care for the dignity\, wellbeing and flourishing of every young person en
	trusted to us.\n\nWhat the training will cover:\n\nSafeguarding informatio
	n - an overview of relevant safeguarding advice\, guidance and requirement
	s for your group.\n \nCase Studies - utilise scenarios that may occur in y
	our ministry and discuss how to address these situations.\n \nRisk Managem
	ent - grounded examples of risk and mitigation processes with the opportun
	ity for attendees to share any risks they've identified through their own 
	youth group experiences.\n\nPreparation before attending:\n\nTo make the m
	ost of this session\, we strongly recommend the following: \n- Review the 
	resources available on the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne's Safeguardin
	g SharePoint site: PAH-Safeguarding - Home  If you do not currently have a
	ccess to SharePoint\, please contact: Safeguardingunit@cam.org.au\n- Bring
	 along your own device to workshop a risk assessment together.  If your pa
	rish has already started working on\, or has completed\, a risk assessment
	\, please bring it with you to continue refining it during the training.\n
	- Ensure your safeguarding compliance is up-to-date at your parish i.e. WW
	C check\, Police Check\, Code of Conduct signed and completion of the Safe
	guarding Essentials Training\, if you have not done so already.\n\nHosted
