	he ninth Archbishop of Adelaide\, appointed in 2020. He serves on the Aust
	ralian Catholic Bishops Conference on the Permanent Committee\, the Bishop
	s’ Commission for Liturgy\, the National Liturgical Commission\, the Inter
	national Commission on English in the Liturgy\, and the Joint Lectionary P
	roject.\n\nHe was a delegate of the ACBC to both assemblies of the global 
	Synod on Synodality (2023-2024). In 2026\, he presided over the Synod of t
	he Archdiocese of Adelaide. He is experienced in pastoral ministry and lit
	urgical leadership. He completed a Licentiate in Liturgical and Sacramenta
	l Theology at the Institute Catholique Paris. His areas of interest are pa
	storal liturgy\, theology of the eucharist\, and liturgical music. He has 
	lectured at Charles Sturt University and the Catholic Institute of Sydney.
	\n\nThe annual Knox Public Lecture is an important date in the calendar of
	 Catholic Theological College. It commemorates the life and ministry of th
	e founder of The College\, the late James Robert Cardinal Knox\, fifth Arc
	hbishop of Melbourne. James Robert Knox was Archbishop of Melbourne from 1
